100th Post & Updates

Good evening my minions… Tonight will be my 100th post since I launched my blog two years ago. Quite a milestone I’d say, to still have so many thoughts, ideas and art swirling through my head. In terms of updates…..well I got good news and bad news…

We’ll start with the bad news. Recently my apartment was broken into and I was robbed, the biggest losses of which were my Fujifilm XT~1 and around $800 cash which I’d made shooting pictures for people. If y’all have ever been robbed you know it’s a jarring experience. The money? I can always make more, but having that camera stolen hurt quite a bit. Especially because that camera was a Christmas gift from my dad from several years ago and I’d become quite attached to it.

The good news is that I was able to make money back shooting incredibly good quality images on my iPhone. As such I’m going to be buying my dad’s Fujifilm XT~2 from him when I go back to visit Indiana here at the beginning of October. Along with that I’ll be able to enjoy the Fall Festival with my dad. Have some good food, make some awesome memories with my dad and just keep living life.

This poem has always spoken to me of fortitude in the face of adversity. How we face those challenges and not only overcome them but thrive amidst the chaos of the roaring storms life throws our way. As always my friends, Rapha Yada.
