Updates and Upcoming 2 Week Working Vacation

How’s it going y’all? I know its been awhile since my last post and all so here’s a few updates. First off, I’m gonna be making an effort to start writing again. With the changing of the seasons and there being new life in the air I figured it’s time to breathe more words to pages again. It’s been a weird couple of months recently….However amidst that chaos I’ve been reflecting on memories with old friends.

Recently my buddy let me know he was going to propose to his girlfriend. She said yes, and now they’re engaged. Which is super cool cause they’re a great fit for each other personality wise. My buddy also asked me to be his best man, which I was honored to be asked and said yes. After a little bit of trying to find the right words I was able to put together a decent little speech that I’m quite proud of.

So I’m all set for when my friends’ wedding at the end of July. There’ve also been some other things going on in my life as well. Ironically it was the whole debacle with wallstreetbets, Gamestop, and the stock market that prompted this. A few months ago I began investing little bits here and there into the stock market and interestingly enough my dad and I have been bonding over talking about such topics.

He gave me the opportunity to come visit him in Indiana for around two weeks and while I was there help out a bit. It’s basically kind of a subcontractor job and one that helps me out a good bit. Essentially he’s going to split my fee into a check specifically for investing in the stock market and another personal check. I’m quite thankful for that, for the fact that my dad is helping me invest in my future. Both financially and with the sorts of thought provoking books and education resources he’s made available to me.

In spite of wearing a mask while traveling and all there’s really nothing to complain about this situation. I get to see my dad, make money and help secure my future. Since spring/summer has started up and I have nothing but time currently I decided to accept my dad’s offer. Now I’m just waiting on him to let me know flight details and to rack up the balls.

It’s time I took a brief vacation. A break from Idaho to shake things up a bit. After all, if you get used to things and don’t challenge yourself how can you grow?

I’ve got some things as drafts right now for poetry. Keep an eye out though! Odds are I may end up popping out some new works. Let’s look to the future with hope and ambition y’all!

As always my friends, rapha yada

Richard
