Dandelion Daydreams

Hey there y’all, I know I promised poetry so here we go. Sorry it’s a few days late. Been dealing with a bunch of stuff in my personal life recently and haven’t really felt motivated to post. In any event I’m ready to unveil another poem.

Honestly this one was inspired by just going for a walk and seeing a bunch of dandelions and contemplating how each seed is possibility floating about. Gave me a little hope and reason to write more. That in mind I present Dandelion Daydreams. This will be one of the poems featured in my upcoming book (still untitled)….

Hopefully y’all enjoy; Rapha Yada my friends,

Richard

Dandelion daydreams, floating in the breeze.

Seeds of possibility, carried on wispy winds of change.

Sunlight warming me upon grassy knoll; eyelids closing like curtains.

Drifting as remembered scent of coffee fills my mind…

Knife blade ejecting to cut fresh roses for her.

Thorns pricking my skin as I do.

Flashes of thought; coffee, fresh roses, cold water washing over our feet by river’s edge.

Fall breeze whispers against my cheek, eyelids flicker open.

A dream, premonition? Or simply, dandelion daydreams floating in the breeze?
