What’s up y’all? Been a few days it feels like since I’ve written anything on here. Been busy trying to fit all the things I need to do in order to get back to some semblance of normal after moving back. Moving tends to be expensive and the fact is selling the few belongings I have to my name hasn’t made me feel very good about life.
Personally I thought I’d be….I don’t somewhere else at this point in my life. Interestingly I’ve been writing more recently, adding to the ever growing manuscript I’ve been working on. Emotionally I’m wearing thin, my patience is being tested in new and increasingly frustrating ways.
I’m starting to withdraw from the people that care about me again. I know I shouldn’t but in my mind that equals safety. It’s interesting how friends I’ve made that I’ve written with I feel closer to than family…. Anyways, madman rants aside I’ll be putting up another poem here tomorrow, this one will be included in the final manuscript too though there may be edits done to it.
I find that I’m just as harsh on my own writing as I am with myself. Interesting parallel really; it’s easy to just strike a line through excessive wording and streamline things…
If only life were so simple. At the moment I’m going kinda stir-crazy I guess, maybe the trip out to my mom’s place will do me good. She had a few trees fall and it gives me a chance to break out her chainsaw and go to town. Plus I’ve got a whole bunch of boxes that I need to go through, gives me something to do that can get my mind off things for awhile.
Got a few friends that want to hang out when I get into town as well so maybe I’ll just take the time to get some things set there. Keep an eye on your inboxes y’all. New poem tomorrow so make sure to check back in then.
