What’s up y’all? So I promised an update and here it is. I’ve officially started transcribing the mass amounts of poetry I’ve written over the last 10 years.
To be honest I’ve burned quite a few of those poems over the years due to not ever wanting those published. Thing is? Everything I’ve ever written has been legitimately what’s been on my mind.
Poetry is like life in that it needs to be done intentionally. Every stroke of the pen needs to be deliberate because once it’s written? That’s it. Even if you burn it you wrote it down.
Recently I made the decision to include some of the poetry I’ve written recently and there’s a good bit written about someone I thought perhaps there was something with. Even though that proved to not be the case I’m still including them.
I owe it to myself to share my journey of life and poetry with others. No matter what’s involved in my journey as a writer to do so honestly. So here’s a pic from my phone of what I’m working through y’all.
