Perfection

How’s it going y’all? So I had a date a few nights ago and it went really well, not going to lie. I enjoyed every aspect of the date. Her company, her mind, her personality. There was definitely great chemistry and we’ve been talking back and forth since I visited Indiana in December of last year. Conversation with her continues to be refreshing and she engages my heart, mind and soul with her views and beliefs.

As it sits we’d discussed a second date towards the end of the one we had this last Wednesday. I’m looking forward to it, still won’t let her pay for all of it though. This date and night out for her were on me. While we were sitting at the table talking over a number of things at dinner I noticed a few things about her. Things you had to be face to face to see; in any event I decided to pen a poem about it. This one is called perfection, enjoy y’all.

Adrift in a sea of grey; starlight twinkling. Glimmers of light, rippling through the oceans of grey. Soft sandy beaches, flecked with coral paint. Musical sound of freedom dancing in the breeze. Her eyes, her freckle-kissed skin, her lipstick and the sound of her laugh….Perfection.
