What’s going on y’all? So I’m not sure if anyone else watched the launch the other day of the Space X launch yesterday. However I did, albeit on a live stream and I can say it was fairly awe inspiring. I feel like so often we miss the majesty of simply…Looking up and taking in what God has made.
In any event watching the launch and contemplating my place in the universe sparked the idea for a short poem. So, that in mind I present my newest piece “Hearts and Comets Fall” I hope y’all enjoy. Don’t forget to look up once in awhile and appreciate the beauty around you.
I fell, long and hard. My heart a comet; burning away the hurt and pain of past loves as it streaked through the atmosphere. Lighting up the night with a smile that’s been in hiding. Heart fell; beautifully, naturally through galaxies of fear and constellations of trepidation. Tumbling through the cosmos, crashing into Midwest farmland. Setting fields ablaze with the impact. This is what happens when hearts and comets fall.
