Tribute To Home

Hey y’all, how’s it going? So the last few blog posts on here have been kinda heavy. My blog is largely about expressing my personal viewpoints on things. That being said I thought it’d be worth sharing some new poetry with y’all. I do believe I shared with y’all that I’m planning to move back home to Indiana.

If I didn’t, then surprise! XD In any case I wanted to share with y’all some newer, recent poetry. So, without further ado I present Tribute To Home.

A part of my soul is linked to this part of the country. Growing up with humid Summers and Midwest storms. Where bass fishing and whiskey sipping is one of the cultural norms. Lightning will crackle and arc through the sky…

Standing here in Idaho walking railroad tracks… I hear the call of home on the mountain winds… Pulling me home. Back to a long along The Ohio. I long to have my boots buried in the muddy banks, to wander through wide-open fields.

There’s magic if you just lay down in those fields and look up… Watch the sun go down in watercolor skies, watch the stars come out and fireflies dance a jig.

Hoosier at heart, I long to come home…
